I received a telephone from a friend at work explaining that his daughter, a veterinary nurse had found a female ferret wandering along a road and although enquiries were made, and notices displayed, she was unclaimed. Knowing that I had ferrets, Jerry enquired if I had space for one more, telling me she was, “very friendly and needed the company of other ferrets”. After a brief period of time I received her from Jerry, who told me how she had tried to climb up the chimney and also into his son’s ear.
When I got her home, I introduced her to two of my Jill ferrets, Lucy and Susie, and chaos reigned in the kitchen. Grace as I had decided to name her , has amazing climbing and jumping skills when not involved in wrestling with Lucy or being mothered by Susie.
Grace now shares a cage with Susie, who seems to enjoy her company.
