Basic equipment:
Ferrets and boxes; a bag of nets; loppers to cut the undergrowth; gloves to protect the hands when clearing holes. A rake is handy to clear leaves when looking for bolt holes in open areas.
At the end of the day, the ferrets deserve a drink
Don’t forget your food and a flask. Wear stout boots and sensible clothing of drab colours. Think of the thorns and barbed wire fences. Heed the weather forecasts, no point to working in the rain.
Take a sharp knife for gutting.
